Current projects

Fixation 2010

Fixation 2010 is an international symposium that will be held at the Nobel Forum of Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, on the 20th to 22nd of June, 2010. The aim of the symposium is to bring together the international expertise in the area of fixational eye movements and visual stabilization.

Precodia

Precodia is a web based reading aid for people with dyslexia. Precodia offers a method and system for presenting text on a computer screen in a way that makes the text easier to read for dyslectics.

Optosphere

Optosphere is a web based application for analysis and visualization of eye movement recordings. Optosphere offers system independent analysis and visualisation of data in an online and collaborative environment.

LIX

LIX is a small tool used to assess the readablity of Swedish text according to a readadbility index similiar to the Flesh index for English. This is by far my most popular project to date with around 250 unique visitors per day.

Previous projects

Rapido

Rapido is a novel browser for mobile phones. Rapido offers fast access to news, blogs, e-mails, and other information. The prototype uses predictive text presentation which adapts to how you read. This project is put on hold for the moment.

Convertus

Convertus is a machine translation system for Swedish developed at the department of Linguistics and Philology at Uppsala University. I workeddeveloped a web based user interface and integrated it with the system.

Port probe

Port probe is a web based tool that is used to detect open ports on a computer or local network. Port probe also tells you wich services that are commonly used on different ports.

SiteFish

SiteFish is a site analysis system. It looks through a whole website at one time and maps its structure and content. The system analyses pages and link structure in order to detect usability issues.

Bailando

Bailando is a prototype for research on small screen readability. It was developed as a tool to explore the possibilities of the Rapid Serial Visual Presentation format. Bailando has been used in several evaluations.

Gaze tools

GazeTools is a set for tools used in eye movement analysis. It categorizes eye movements according to their function when reading and delivers a report that can be used for statistical analysis.

Miscellaneous projects

Guildcove

Guildcove is a web based community system for World of Warcraft guilds. It offers a place to exchange information and help each other out. If I get some spare time, which happens all too rarely, I usually toy around with this project.
